You may know him best as an actor. Perhaps you’ve even heard him sing or seen him in “Hairspray” among many other shows. Harvey Fierstein is well known in the acting world. Have you seen his quilts?
Each fall I go to the Mancuso Quilt Show in Oaks, PA. There is always a featured theme or artist. This year the show featured Harvey Fierstein’s quilts. I have been following his Instagram account for a while and it has been nothing short of inspirational, amusing and thought-provoking- a true balancing act.
I was able to see many of the quilts he has done and found them even more incredible and inspiring up close and personal. He started quilting around 2009 and has a body of work that most of us can only dream of. What have I been doing with my life?
