I love to learn. I always have, though I’ve not necessarily wanted to learn what was being taught in school. Heresy from a lifelong educator.
Years in schools with children who are eager learners and those who are not proves this time and again. When we want to learn something nothing will stop us. When we aren’t interested there is nothing that can force us to learn.
Sewing again has pushed me in ways that I may not have allowed when I was younger. I have taken classes alone, knowing no one. That is a huge stretch for me. I’ve learned quilting techniques, a bit of machine embroidery, shortcuts, and a few tricks. The desire to learn and grow as a quilter forced me out of my comfort zone. I’m happy it did and will continue to pursue new techniques and tricks!
What do you still want to learn?
What’s stopping you?
