This post is a part of the Stash Stories, a series about fabric, creativity, and the stories behind what we save. Each post explores a piece of my fabric stash- where it came from, why it matters, and what it’s teaching me about making, memory, and possibility.
What do you suppose these pieces will be? They came from my stash of homespun and will be used to brighten some days ahead. I started with the idea of making a couple of small items, which has grown into a bigger and more time consuming project- as they often do.

As satisfying as it is to use part of my stash it is also a bit sad. I caught myself thinking about these fabrics not being available to me any longer. This is the problem with sewing. It’s nice to have choices and even nicer to have them within your own home. Isn’t this what led to having a robust stash in the first place?
**Watch this space to find out what these pieces turn into. Put your guesses in the comments below and wait for the big reveal next week!
